LionHeart and Dandy is a life & style blog where I share my personal style, affordable fashion, beauty tips, my family, travel guides in and around Houston, all the DIYs, simple & healthy Recipes, and most importantly sharing all the Renos to our First Home. I’m certainly not Joana Gains but I’ve been trying to find my own style and learning as I go. Basically, if i’m inspired by something or find something particularly interesting or useful, I’ll write about it on LH+D. I kinda see this as my Diary for all to see. your welcome.
Ok, let me break down the meaning behind LionHeart+Dandy. The word Lionheart is about constantly challenging one self. Taking every single opportunity without regrets. developing & seeing beauty in all kinds of moments in life no matter how big/small they may be. knowing what you’re worth, treating yourself like you deserve to be treated, simply, just being you and being brave about it all. like a lion you know, fight for what you stand for and never give up on your dreams. umm? yess please!
The word Dandy is basically a man devoted to style, neatness and fashion. It’s more of a male word but that doesn’t mean women are excluded from that realm of dandyism. In fact, the female dandy is its own archetype, known as the Quaintrelle which means quaint. even Coco Chanel is thought of as the first female dandy for dressing in black wearing masculine styles, like tailored suits. she is the BOSS.. I really loved the meaning behind it and it just stuck with me.. always feeling like a Lionheart and not being afraid of bringing out the dandyism in me. I used to be afraid but I’ve learned to embrace everything that is about me.
Thanks for visiting LH+D, loves! just know you guys can chat with me anytime you want about anything, please don’t be shy! I love chatting with you all! Im more than happy to answer any questions or suggestions you may have! Don’t be a stranger lovelies.
